This weekly space is geared towards experienced movers. A low-stakes environment to engage with your movement practice while connecting with community.

My class focuses on efficient release-based phrases. Starting slow and low, with Bartenief fundamentals to tune in first through somatic awareness, transitioning fluidly into solo or group improvisation tasks. All focusing on explorations that utilize gravity, planes of space, the floor as a tool, and clear initiation points. The rest of our practice centers on rich phrase work, incorporating and complicating what we explored in our improvisation.

Class phrases are interested in hardly finding verticality, while also making transitions more fluid and seamless. The movement consistently challenges the body to stay relaxed and efficient with the use of our muscles.  I am invested in cultivating a space of open conversation about somatic sensory experiences throughout the class, as well as a space for experimenting with pathways that are efficient for your unique anatomy.
